Sometimes you don't need a hard freeze to end growing season. Cold soil and temps in September is enough.

My Lows:
Sept 19: 42.8° at 6:54 am
Sept 20: 44.1° at 5:25am
Sept 21: 40.1° at 7:42am

Lots of 30s and low 40s out there again this morning. 10+ below normal. Few more 20s out there this morning as well.

Crazy amount of 30s again and frost in the region again. Those clouds are from Teddy. How close was that?

See it?

Too close for comfort?? Teddy looks like its moving towards Maine but it will curve back towards Nova Scotia. Eastern CT should be seeing some nice outer bands from it.

Loop last 4 hours shows temps going from 30s to 50s with sunrise for some areas.

With a low of 49 yesterday and 48 today, NYC's Central Park has it's first back to back September mornings in the 40s since 2000. In fact, it's also the first time since 2000 that there were 2 or more September lows in the 40s there (the last September there to have even one low in the 40s was in 2013).

Yesterdays date is also earliest in Sept. since 1993 that there was a low in the 40s.
