Can't have crisp without chill.

Spring is rebirth, warmth and the return of longer days. Fall is all about death as we go into hibernation.

(not that I think we've had an actual spring for a few years, but it used to start in March and that was nice)

Don't get me wrong, I love spring too but you have to admit you can have crisp with warm sunny days in the fall. At least we don't get that humidity we get in spring and summer.

Shoulder seasons are nice because 1 comes after out nasty heat & humidity and the other comes after a cold snowy period.

I think it's all about Acclimating. I acclimate pretty fast (usually within 2 weeks) so 60s will feel warm to you soon so Fall isn't bad.

Actually come to think of it....... Ummmm, aren't spring temps the same or colder as Fall temps???? lolol

March 40s
April 50s
May 60s

September 70s
October 60s
November 50s

All about acclimating. Fall feels colder more times because we're used to those 80s and hot sun from summer

I noticed this silences others as well. I said it to a few people that said they prefer Spring over Fall. LOL.

Went for a quick walk this morning before work; just a delightful feeling after another gross summer. Wunderground said it was 43 degrees and felt like 38. I'm not sure it was quite that cold but it sure was invigorating to be outside.

It's a little disappointing that the first day of fall will be in the 80s but hopefully we're at our norms for the start of October.

A friend in Wethersfield had 42 degrees around 4 AM (she works third shift). Isn't our normal high still about 73 or 74? (I know it's 70 on September 30th though!)

And yes, it's very minor, but some rain would be welcome in the state.

P.S. That frost picture was like a slap in the face. IT...IS...STILL...SUMMER. Damn it!
