Hi,

We recently moved to Westport from Manhattan with our 2 boys (10 and 7). We are looking for some fun restaurants in the area. Waterfront if possible. We've been to BarTaco, Arezzo, Black Duck, Joeys at Compo Beach. Any other fun casual spots in the area that we are missing? Happy to travel a bit if necessary.

Thanks!
Valerie

The Pearl at Longshore, right in Westport.

For waterfront, Rowayton Seafood in Rowayton and Harbor Lights in Norwalk. Non-waterfront, Little Pub in Wilton and Fairfield, Little Barn in Westport, Cherry Street East in New Canaan (bit of a schlep, but the burgers are fantastic).

These are all waterfront with outdoor seating.
Someone mentioned the Pearl, the lemon chicken dish there is excellent.
Parker Mansion on the Saugatuck river, near Black Duck, is one of our favs, it has outdoor seating upstairs. The Whelk is also over there as is the Saugatuck Rowing club. There is Rive Bistro also on Riverside. Sunset Grill is down at the marina in Norwalk, wonderful views at sunset. Rowayton Seafood over on the other side of town on the 5 Mile River, though they have had health inspection issues. I heard they remodeled Sono Seafood.
I can't seem to think of any in Fairfield though, hmm.

I used to work at Arezzo

But ditto everything everyone else said! Rowayton seafood is quite good.

Sono Seafood has been remodeled...my friends have gone, it's quite nice!

Love Sunset Grill, too, although more for drinks than food.

Do any Italians actually work there?
Mangement looks to be Eastern Euro, the wait staff is undocumented

Rowayton Seafood is probably the best of all listed here.

Surprised no one has mentioned Overton's in Norwalk. Outdoor dining only, so get there soon. There were lots of kids last time I was there. Plus....ice cream!

If you ever find yourself towards New Haven, Dive Bar in West Haven and Shell and Bones in New Haven have amazing views.

The owners of Little Pub are renovating a great waterfront location in Stratford.
