The city that works is ranked 9th safest in the country base on 2018 numbers


"Stamford, Connecticut has the 14th-lowest rate of violent crime in the study, at 218 incidents per 100,000 residents. Stamford also stands out for its relatively low property crime rate. At 2,120 incidents per 100,000 residents, it ranks 11th-lowest overall for this metric. The vehicular mortality rate in Stamford is also low, at 5.78 incidents per 100,000 residents, a top-25 rate."

Being in Stamford I am thankful about it.

Although I know a couple motorcycle stolen incidents in my apartment complex and have seen news about serious crimes in a nearby park and neighborhood. Wonder how bad the rest of the country is doing.

According to that list Bridgeport and New Haven are in the top 100 safest, ahead of cities like Boston, NY, Austin.

NYC is what? 100 times the size of Bridgeport and New Haven?

Drug OD's are higher in Stamford than many, but at least the air quality is high, thank God.
