Really? You’d turn down hundreds of $Ks?
Condition is fine I’d turn around sell it take the cash and run before someone changes their mind.

Then you have ppl on this board claiming 1.2$m is reasonable and average for Fairfield county homes. I'm not even talking houses but a crappy condo in a new tower in downtown Stamford.

Fairfield County has a wide range of affordability. Stamford is very different from Shelton, for instance. It all depends on location, schools, etc. The market sets the price. It’s not about being reasonable. It’s supply and demand.

That’s the exception and not the rule. In many parts of Fairfield County, a nice starter home can be had for under 350k.

Right when I mean Redevelopment I don't exactly mean just housing. I'm just saying empty land is hard to justify. If it means something light like a farmers market, vineyard, botanical garden, petting zoo etc. To note a fair amount of hartford and Boston is in a flood zone (especially UMass Boston)

I had to explain what a non confirming loan was the other day. We learned our lesson, we can't do ninja stuff like pre 2008. I'm still more concerned on redevelopment of older buildings. Demo work can be a given. I wonder what the biggest housing redevelopments are. What companies in CT are converting offices to condos or apartments?

That is really only in the Gold Coast towns in southwestern Fairfield County. They are below.

Easton
Fairfield
Darien
Greenwich
New Canaan
Norwalk
Ridgefield
Stamford
Weston
Westport
Wilton

I live in Trumbull which is the eastern side of Fairfield County and you can find homes in nice safe middle class areas for $400,000 to $500,000. It is not insane anymore. There are 24 towns/cities in Fairfield County so more than 1/2 the towns are not that expensive. My town borders two Gold Coast towns of Easton and a tiny bit of Fairfield. I am sure there are towns further away from the gold coast where you can find homes in safe middle class areas for even less than my town.

Here is my post..........."If someone gave me that house for free with the condition I could not sell it and had to live in it, I would not take it".

No flipping.........just living in a butt ugly house for the rest of your days lol.........I would not take it. My back yard shed looks 10x more aesthetically pleasing than that ugly house.

As a reminder here is the house.
