I have been working with a great doctor who also helps a lot of ppl with lyme in the last 5 months- he said it is not lyme. he thinks I have something in my body ( like a chemical) irritating the nerves but I am not so sure. he has helped me with other things but babesia is back on the table. My abdomen gets severely bloated but not related to eating and otherwise digestion is fine. My diaphragm feels like it is being squeezed all the time and I cant breathe. I have had chest x rays ekgs blood work etc. no one knows what it is. so maybe a great lyme dr who can confirm if it is babesia. or a great diagnostician.
Have you been tested for tapeworm?

I had been sick with digestive issues, fatigue etc. since I was in Jr. High School. At first the doctors insisted (to my parents) I had an eating disorder because they could not find anything wrong. This was in the late 1970's. In the early 1980's AIDS was first being diagnosed. So finally the doctors in CT said there is a new illness and we want to send you down to the National Institutes of Health to see if this is what you might have. Needless to say I was beyond scared.

I went down to the NIH and they did a battery of tests and thank God they found out I had inflammatory bowel disease. The NIH is an awesome place. After I came home I started to see great doctors at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC and was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease.

If you can't get down to the NIH try starting out with Yale New Haven Hospital. If you don't feel like you are getting anywhere at Yale I would recommend going to one of the great NYC hospitals. It's worth the trip into NYC.

If you think it's babesia have you been treated for it anyways though your blood test was negative?
You take anti malarial drugs like plaquenal plus antibiotics.

I'm not a Dr, YMMV but I play one on the internet.....

The National Institutes of Health are located in Bethesda MD near the Naval Hospital where the presidents go.
