DH and I have lived here several years (Fairfield County). Love our house, love NE landscape and history... the people are cold. We feel isolated and don't seem to run into others who are conservative thinking/leaning.
There are a ton of conservatives in Farfield County. Most of the smaller communities and suburbs are almost 50% Republican voters. While CT overall is liberal, people aren’t vocal about their politics in the state the way they are in extreme areas of the country like DC and San Francisco, or Alabama and Texas. I’m a right leaning moderate and my other half is a left leaning moderate. We don’t care about people’s politics as much as we care that they are a good person. That’s how it should be.
What Kid said. I rarely talk politics with my friends. Over time I often figure out what they are politically, but I enjoy them as friends so it really doesn't matter.
Do you have any interests, other than being "conservative"? People tend to make friends through their interests. You like hiking? Join a hiking club. You want to do good for others? Volunteer in your community.
If by conservative, you mean fiscally conservative, try to get involved in your local town governance, in order to make the best and most efficient use of our tax dollars.
If by conservative, you mean religiously conservative, you can probably meet like-minded people at a church that shares your values.
I know a few libs who are political 24/7, and I simply avoid them. But 99.9% of those I know are more concerned with spending time together and mutual interests, than discussing politics non-stop.

We are the same although kind of have a preference for right leaning.
Where do you find these people? We are not finding them anywhere, not sure how to do that.

That's true in all states I've been in.
That has not been our experience. My DH has a work colleague and when an attempt to socialize with significant others was made, the colleague's girlfriend sussed me out for my political reviews and then froze me out. Have had similar experiences elsewhere.
I haven't run into this at all - I have a very purple social group and we tend to steer clear of politics in social settings. I will say though that the further north you go, the more likely you are to cross paths with politically conservative folk.
Seems to be quite a few pockets of conservatives in CT. Litchfield County, Windham County outside Willimantic, and southern Hartford/northern New Haven County (Wolcott, Southington, Cheshire, Wallingford) come to mind.
