This is pretty much how it works in every other country.
Sure, I get it. But the poster seemed to criticize the undocumented for not becoming citizens, as if that was a readily available option they of which were choosing not to avail themselves.

Simple. Return to cooperating with federal agents and obey federal law, get federal money.

The idea of sanctuary jurisdictions is you and me and everyone in this country turns a blind eye to illegal immigration when it comes to who is cooking our food, mowing our lawns, making our products. We love the lower cost of these things bur treat the people doing it with utter disrespect.

The idea that a city or state doesn't want to do the job of the federal government against its own residents who work and contribute to the local economy isn't really that hard to understand.
Nobody is turning a blind eye to it. If an undocumented immigrant didn’t cook our food, an American would. It’s really as simple as that.

Good luck with that. Its a good thing you're not in the restaurant biz (or are you?). Your margins go out the door. Don't quit the day job.

You stated “you, me and everyone else in this country turns a blind eye...”

Untrue.

Worked at 3 chain restaurants in HS and college. All cooks were documented.

Wish everyone could be a business owner for a month to get a reality check.
If I hire someone who I presume to be Hispanic.....let's say English is clearly not their first language if I ask them if they are here illegally they can sue me for discrimination!!
They might be here from Puerto Rico where many don't speak English but have all the same rights as you and I.

Not even allowed to take picture of SS card. Many have fake numbers. They sometimes claim to have 6-8 dependants to avoid taxes.

If I were crazy enough to say I think you are lying about how many dependants you are claiming I'd have some XYZ group boycotting my business!!

The people who talk about things they know nothing about are the ones who can't "See" the reality.

It was awhile ago, but hiring standards and employee requirements of chain restaurants haven’t changed. Every employee is a documented citizen of the United States.
