FYI

Trump Win: Court Rules Trump Can Withhold Funds To States With ‘Sanctuary Cities’
https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump...nctuary-cities

"The affected states are Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington."

Does this mean he can withhold funds from the entire state of CA? This should be interesting.

He will certainly try to do whatever he feels like doing ( the spineless senate made sure of that ) and now that he is in full on tantrum mode there really is no telling what sort of terror he will try to rain down on everyone .

We are prepared for anything as far as he is concerned , horrible individual . Nothing he does is surprising.

I heard something on the radio the other day saying California is that girl that just doesn't want to date him . That is for the most part correct . We have a few angry conserves out here but most of them should be leaving shortly for Arizona/Idaho/Texas .... I guess or whatever .

This probably isn't the only example of states/municipalities ignoring Federal law, but regardless, why should there be no consequences?

I am not a fan of Trump but this is a federal court ruling not Trump “raining terror down on everyone.” If states don’t want to uphold federal law enforcement rules then why complain if they don’t get federal law enforcement funds?

I am sorry everyone. I didn't mean this to be a debate on Donald Trump. I am just wondering "what money" and how much can be withheld from CT? Is it all federal funds to CT or just the money that deals with immigration?

How will the lack of money affect our state. Will this not be a big deal or will this hurt CT's budget etc.

I am going to caution everyone that this thread should not be one to debate or discuss President Trump. You should only discuss the court ruling’s impact on Connecticut. All other discussions will be deleted. JayCT, Moderator

The affect on each state is still TBD. The ruling just came out, so first step is to see if any/all states affected co-operate, which will alter the impact on them. That will take weeks to months to know.

What's crazy is too think that any state, or city can overrule a federal law. Furthermore to be surprised that the Fed govt won't push back....
