Update #1

As advised, I sent a letter cert mail, RRReq to the owner's house. The PO could not deliver it (maybe no one home at the time?) and they (in theory) left a note at the residence to come pick up the letter at the local PO. The letter was never retrieved.

I was at WF last week, went to the store, and slipped a note under the door. No contact.

The website is STILL down.

The store VM is STILL full.

I didn't want to, but I felt I had no choice.

This eve, I went to the owner's house, and knocked on the door. And guess who answered? Yep, the business owner himself. I asked if the store was still in business, and he replied that it is, but they have been closed for some time. I mentioned the full VM, that got no response. I mentioned the FB email, that got no response. The note under the door - no response. I mentioned the website, and he said, "yeah..." and rolled his eyes. ATM, it seemed like he was saying, "I know, I know, I need to take care of that."

He asked me if I wanted the guitar back, and I said I didn't need it back, that I only wanted to make sure that the guitar was still in the store, and everything was ok. He assured me everything was fine, they would be reopening soon, and that's where we left it. Hopefully he was being forthcoming.... we will see.

I would have asked for the guitar back. There's other places you can take it for repair.

I would have too. If the owner was responsive to one of the OP’s multiple attempts to contact him, I might say otherwise but since the owner did not respond I would have taken the guitar and run. Jay

He could have took some of the guitars home, worked on them, then called the owners and said they were done. Then arraigned to take payment over the internet and have curbside pick up at his house. I wonder why he didn't do that.

I would try and find the owner's home phone number. If you have his name and address you should be able to find # too.

You should go get the guitar back, and get it repaired somewhere else. This guy has major issues with how he's running his business.
