Authorities believe he is now in Maryland. He won’t be coming back to CT willingly.

Would better intervention have made a difference and saved the victims here? Or in other cases where someone with mental illness became violent.

Maybe if some of the anger and fear many of us have about this now were directed into real violence prevention it would be constructive.
I believe Bob and the rest of society would love to see these events stopped before they happened. No kidding.

Was this guy crying out for help? how do you know when a mental illness comes about.

Apparently he had covered his apartment with writing... You have a fair point-- We won't only know.

On the other hand, authorities certainly knew Adam Lanza was mentally ill, and, repeatedly made failed intervention attempts.

Nothing is 100%. Just a sad state of affairs.

What kind of intervention attempts did authorities make?

Actually according to kids I know that went to UConn with him, he didn’t act that crazy. The wall writings were kind of the only sign. He had friends at school and even girlfriends. He hid it well. Jay
