Westfarms mall is closed today for fear of looting. I just heard that the Target in Bishops Corner (and I presume in WestFarms area too) are closed for same reason. Scary. It can't happen here....

Another peaceful protest in Hartford. 84 was briefly closed. Police linked arms with protesters. They eventually asked protesters to leave so they didn’t block ambulance access, and they did. Crowds have now dispersed.

Trump “I have strongly recommended to every governor to deploy the national guard in sufficient numbers so we dominate the streets. If a city refuses then I will deploy the US military and quickly solve the problem.’
A troubled man ready to wreak havoc on his own country”

Trump is advising every state governor to deploy the national guard, and is threatening to deploy the military in states that choose not to comply.

National guard to patrol Connecticut and 49 other states right now

I suspect many retail chains will soon, permanently, close all stores, nationally, in favor of online only business.

Between covid and the rioters, it makes no sense to put up with these business interruptions.

Nah. And if they did, in a few months other retail chains would eat their lunch when neither are still a concern.
