Dear all,

Is it legal to carry a three-year-old on a firmly secured bike seat in CT, or more specifically, in Stamford? Also, is it legal to ride a bicycle on sidewalks? Thanks!

I would just call a local bike shop in Stamford and ask.

Legal or illegal, I wouldn't recommend to carry a little kid on a bike. Not save ! JUST COMMON SENSE !
( is still free in America. Make use of it )

Yes, child bike seats as well as bike tandems and trailers are legal in CT and the other 49.
Technically you're not supposed to ride on sidewalks, those are reserved for pedestrians, but if its not crowded, nobody cares.

Enjoy

It is legal to ride on the sidewalk in CT but some towns may not allow it. It is more dangerous than being on the street though
