You can go further than that. My best friend lives in Wallingford. He commuted to Norwalk for 25 years. He joined a car pool that met in the commuter lot on Wheelers Farm Road in Milford. Made it much easier. He only had to drive the worst of the commute once or twice a week. As I remember, his total commute was about an hour. They did meet up very early though and came home early to avoid peak traffic times. What he liked best was getting Fairfield County pay but living in low cost New Haven County. It’s not a commute I would want to do but it can be done. Jay

You people have no idea what a bad commute is. Even the upper echelon of City Data's CT faction.
Having said that though, I fear the worst going forward once Covid disappears on Wednesday Nov 4th.
The mass transit personnel may abandon the germ carts for the solitude of their cars and hit the unopen highways. I hope I'm wrong.
