I mean, I know plenty of people that had a great experience with the schools and consider them very good. Anecdotes aside, yes Orange schools perform better. They still all exceed average metrics for CT. Milford has “gentrified” since 2000 and that’s improved school performance. Stratford is actually below average.

Milford has good solid schools. I have friends and cousins that live in Milford and their children are all going to good colleges.

I would like to point out to seattlenative88 that the schools in CT are always among the top in the country. So average or slightly above average schools will most likely be better than many other areas of the country. CT is usually in the top 5 on most of these rankings.

I just saw this yesterday and it made me think of all the school discussions on City-Data.

Like all of CT, Milford, Orange, and Stratford publics equally provide a tremendous education for those that want it. If you want it, it's there, among the best in the US.

So I would have to agree, I doubt a student will face any dire and impactful consequences in life if they attended Milford as opposed to Orange.
