My dad loved thin crust over anything else and probably would've liked their pizza but he passed over 20 years ago and never tried them. Funny part 2, a lot of people I know who live around there think like my family does about them, but pre-COVID I would see lines out the door if I drove by there on a weekend night (though allowed to have limited dine-in by law, right now that location is still takeout only).
I have a Pepe gift card someone gave us, probably will use it one day. Honestly I have not had pizza out since before covid or any take out. One day when this virus hopefully goes away, that is when I will order out. I do miss pizza though very much......

New Haven char is the way to go. Smells like Italy.
Fairfield County's Irish and Greek piemakers are clueless. Colony's logo is a shamrock. Pizza and shamrock? I mean come on, gimme a break.
I do quite like Jordan’s. Guilty pleasure, those greasy little plump squares.

Greeks have great food, really wonderful. The mediterraneans are the best in the world at food. You know that. Leave the pizza to the italians though.
Ireland? that's another story

Was at Zuppardi's Apizza tonight, amazing pizza. Never had the others yet so I can't really compare Connecticut pizza to other Connecticut pizza. Besides Plum Tomato in Colchester, that pizza is amazing also.

Honestly, I gotta say that Modern Apizza is my favorite and Pepe's is great as well. Next Door and Sally's are also great. Seriously, I would say that New Haven has the best pizza in the country.

However, one thing I'd argue is that I LOVE Chicago Deep Dish Pizza, and I'd say Chicago Deep Dish tops New Haven, but New Haven has the best Regular Pizza in the country!

I don’t consider Chicago Deep Dish to be real pizza. It’s different. It’s good, just the same. Jay

Yes, Zuppardi’s is phenomenal. Like most great NHV pizza, does not hold up to takeout well and must be enjoyed there. Best sausage and fresh clam for me. And different from other New Haven pizza, a more delicate and light crust. But that’s what makes the region special. So many incredible pizza spots and each a little different.

PS: deep dish is casserole.
