"Amazon has temporarily shut down construction of a new fulfillment center in Connecticut after the discovery of seven apparent nooses at the site.Police in Windsor, Connecticut, say the nooses were found placed around the construction site starting on April 27. The police department said it is investigating the incidents as potential hate crimes along with the FBI's civil rights division"
"HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — NAACP, state and local officials are denouncing what they call continued racism at an Amazon warehouse construction site in Connecticut where an eighth noose has been found. Connecticut NAACP President Scot X. Esdaile says the latest noose was found Wednesday morning at the site in Windsor, despite additional security measures having been added last weekend when Amazon shut the property. A seventh noose was found hanging over a beam at the site last week. Amazon says it has closed the location again to allow the FBI to investigate."
since Amazon has a pretty strong presence here in CT, wonder why they didn't consider us for their new HQs instead of Boston and NY. being in IT i would love to get a job there.
I think it's interesting how this is being worded by the press. Police are investigating "what could be interpreted as a noose." Wouldn't surprise me at all if this turns out to be yet another hate hoax.

Yeah, they have warehouses in 42 states, 4 in CT (if you count the new Windsor build) which for reference is the same number as states like Delaware and Kansas
