No, not in the slightest. Much more wordly if you ask me.

Townies will be townies.

But for the most part I find people more open and adventurous on the coast than my former Danbury area stomping grounds.

Confirmation bias? Maybe.

Just because someone hasn't visited Killingly CT doesn't mean they're insular or townie. You and I would love it, 169 is my favorite number, but for others, maybe Miami, Paris, and London are their version of venturing out.

To be honest, most of my family and friends know little about Connecticut north or east of Milford. Whereas most people here in greater Hartford are fairly well aware of Fairfield County so I understand what Brownedbits is saying. They are not entirely wrong. Jay

I actually didn't either until a recent commercial for them has the granddaughter of the founder note it and I fact checked.

I did know about Haagen Dasz Bronx origins but didn't get a chance to see your post and respond.

Surprised Vineyard Vines/non-food brands aren't on the list. CT brand that's has major growth in popularity. Yes - it's a bit preppy, but generally well received given the apparel company's growth.

No mention of Hummels hot dogs? One of the few CT products that my relatives who live in other states ask me to bring when I visit.
