True but given the consistent Democratic re-election in our state, and the inaction of the Republican Party, kind of sends a clear message of what voters want. This is why voting is so important and voicing your opinion by contacting elected officials. Jay

You are right. The voters have decided the direction they wish the state to go - which is to embrace the far left wing agenda. That’s evident by the passing of recent bills. Unfortunately, with the inaction of police officers, the seemingly glorification of criminals, and the zoning changes that will surely affect the affluent suburbs, the next decade will show a very different Connecticut than what we’re all used to.

1960 America is leaving many states behind in the dust, not just CT. Hard working personnel and the less fortunate are starting to have a voice getting tired of being pushed around by the rich who get all the breaks and preferential treatment. Many others don't want the good book of fables shoved down their throats or told what to do with their bodies.
On the other hand, to be fair, I can't wrap my head around why condoms haven't resonated with the rural and inner city poor. That would be Goal #1, but it's had 100% failure results across the board. Proven to fail and there isn't anything anyone can do about it anymore.

You’re not wrong re social conservatism, and that’s why we’re in the situation we’re in. You have the hard left and hard right ruling, and moderates like us are being forced to choose.

Correct, and the suburban backlash will be extreme once they recognize the impact.

.
Are you saying obeying laws was just a 1960s thing? It is not. Now we have always had those who disobey society's laws, and we dealt with them well, isolating them for the greater good of law-abiding, civilized society.

Scarlet O'Hara's over the top dramatic performance was tame compared to this, my God.
There may be disagreements on how crimes are processed and enforced but of course no one WANTS laws to be disobeyed, in any era.

The disagreement is in whether the public should no whom have committed violent crimes. A very serious issue.

Admitting my bias I disagree. What have R states done that is more right than say 30 years ago!?

The right has been pulled to the center by the left.

CT is not far left wing, or even left. What people here don't realize is this message board is not indicative of the CT population.

The opinions here are not the majority, otherwise we would have a legislature full of Republicans.

At best there are 20 people here that know anything about CT politics. 20 people do not represent the opinions of 3+ million.

This is an echo chamber full of conservative misery.
