Here are Mine

Round 2:

Group A

Ridgefield vs Sharon

Ellington vs Windsor

Waterford vs Cromwell

Harwinton vs Trumbull

Group B

Westport vs Prospect

East Hampton vs Rocky Hill

Darien vs Morris

Brooklyn vs Old Lyme

Group C

West Hartford vs North Canaan

Watertown vs Hartford: Very tough, but I have to give it to the capital.

Brookfield vs Seymour

Haddam vs Canton

Group D

Farmington vs Bethany

Suffield vs Woodstock

Orange vs Bethlehem

Ledyard vs Essex

Group E

Litchfield vs New Hartford

Easton vs Danbury

Southington vs Clinton

Salisbury vs Southbury: Extremely tough one, and honestly I could go back and fourth on this. However, I give a slight edge to Salisbury as it is the western corner and has some beautiful mountains.

Group F

Glastonbury vs East Haddam

Colchester vs Cheshire

Bethel vs South Windsor

Bridgeport vs Washington: Also tough choice. Sorry Washington, gotta go with Bridgeport as it is developing well and should be a nice city within 3-4 years. If this was 2 years ago, I might've said Washington, but I feel that Bridgeport is really growing.

Group G

Guilford vs New Britain

Thomaston vs New Canaan

Middlebury vs East Granby

Deep River vs Avon: This is also somewhat tough, but Avon is overrated in my opinion, and I feel it is just a very ordinary town. Deep River on the other hand is beautiful and it's really hard for me to vote against the Chester/Deep River/Essex area. Those towns are beautiful.

Group H

Greenwich vs Cornwall

Chester vs New Milford: Also really tough, but again Chester/Deep River/Essex area is really hard to beat. Chester also has a really nice town center.

Norwalk vs Salem

Plainville vs Redding

Group I

Stonington vs Wolcott

West Haven vs Newington

Monroe vs Marlborough

Canaan vs Woodbury

Group J

Branford vs Montville

Goshen vs Sherman

Woodbridge vs Killingworth: Nature is much better.

Tolland vs Simsbury

Group K

New Haven vs Norfolk

New London vs Hebron: Tough as well. Hebron is a pretty small rural town, but New London has a really nice beach and it's a small nice city.

Shelton vs Ashford

North Stonington vs Kent

Group L

Madison vs Hartland: Sorry Hartland I really do love Hartland, but by no means can I pick it over Madison.

Wethersfield vs Mansfield: UCONN

Oxford vs Westbrook: Very tough

Lyme vs Newtown: This fixture is driving me nuts. If it wasn't for Ferris Acres Creamery, I might very well have picked Lyme. It's a close call for me. Lyme is a beautiful rural town overlooking the CT River, but honestly there is not much there at all. I'll say Newtown for now, but might have to change my vote later, we'll see.

Group M

East Lyme vs Durham

Groton vs Roxbury

Weston vs Burlington

Columbia vs Middletown

Group N

Fairfield vs Middlefield

North Haven vs Coventry

Wilton vs Warren

Lisbon vs Stamford

Group O

Old Saybrook vs Killingly

Griswold vs Stratford

Portland vs Manchester

Granby vs Wallingford

Group P

Milford vs Scotland

Windham vs Bridgewater: Definitely the underdog, but I gotta say that I actually do appreciate the town of Windham. Willimantic gets a lot of hate, and it is kind of rundown, but I feel it is exaggerated on here a bit.

Barkhamsted vs Putnam: Nature is amazing!

North Branford vs New Fairfield

Group A

Ridgefield vs Sharon - Still haven't been really through Ridgefield tho but I imagine its superior.

Ellington vs Windsor - Selected Windsor at first but switched to Ellington. Ellington does Ellington well where as Windsor is a little confusing.

Waterford vs Cromwell

Harwinton vs Trumbull - Mostly just know the I-95 drive thru.

Group B

Westport vs Prospect

East Hampton vs Rocky Hill

Darien vs Morris - There's a particular intersection in this general area that I like. Might be in Morris but I don't think it is so we'll go against Morris.

Brooklyn vs Old Lyme - This entire group is sort of weak for me.

Group C

West Hartford vs North Canaan

Watertown vs Hartford

Brookfield vs Seymour - In my mind, Seymour is a step up from some of the other Naugatuck River towns but I might be wrong.

Haddam vs Canton - I like Canton.

Group D

Farmington vs Bethany - I'm sure Farmington will win but I enjoy driving through this town. Not sure if I'd have any reason to actually stop in it.

Suffield vs Woodstock - Good views on CT river.

Orange vs Bethlehem

Ledyard vs Essex - Had a bad experience with Essex Steam Train.

Group E

Litchfield vs New Hartford - One of coolest Town Greens in the state and a lot of history here.

Easton vs Danbury - An anti-Danbury pick.

Southington vs Clinton - Well-rounded town although not enough apples to take all the credit for Apple Valley and Apple Festival.

Salisbury vs Southbury - This should be a round of 16 match. Two of my top 10, maybe top 5. Going to go with Salisbury. Sort of forgot about Lime Rock Park before someone else mentioned it. This is the Group of Death.

Group F

Glastonbury vs East Haddam - Due to South Glastonbury farms.

Colchester vs Cheshire

Bethel vs South Windsor

Bridgeport vs Washington

Group G

Guilford vs New Britain - Surprised New Brit made it through play-in round.

Thomaston vs New Canaan - These have to be the most opposite towns of any matchup here.

Middlebury vs East Granby - Wife made me to that consignment store in Middlebury once so...

Deep River vs Avon - Never seen the parts of Deep River that people like yet.

Group H

Greenwich vs Cornwall - Neat town to drive through.

Chester vs New Milford - Elephant Trunk and some decide nature spots.

Norwalk vs Salem

Plainville vs Redding

Group I

Stonington vs Wolcott - I'd think this could be like a 23-1 vote.

West Haven vs Newington - Newington a bit plain.

Monroe vs Marlborough - Route 2 feels like it goes on forever and I blame Marlborough!

Canaan vs Woodbury

Group J

Branford vs Montville - Nice downtown.

Goshen vs Sherman - Appreciate the town's shape.

Woodbridge vs Killingworth

Tolland vs Simsbury - Very solid matchup here.

Group K

New Haven vs Norfolk

New London vs Hebron

Shelton vs Ashford

North Stonington vs Kent - Waterfalls

Group L

Madison vs Hartland

Wethersfield vs Mansfield - Mansfield must pay for letting people call UConn as being in "Storrs"

Oxford vs Westbrook

Lyme vs Newtown - Very nice town in a lot of different ways.

Group M

East Lyme vs Durham - I like Main Street here.

Groton vs Roxbury

Weston vs Burlington

Columbia vs Middletown - Middletown gives you a little bit of everything.

Group N

Fairfield vs Middlefield - Would like to pick Middlefield out of loyalty but will respect the game

North Haven vs Coventry - North Haven feels broken up with the different highways going through it.

Wilton vs Warren

Lisbon vs Stamford - I just need to take a day to drive through Eastern CT one day

Group O

Old Saybrook vs Killingly - I like it.

Griswold vs Stratford - Getting a bit fatigued - long round.

Portland vs Manchester - Close one. Quarries vs Stores

Granby vs Wallingford

Group P

Milford vs Scotland

Windham vs Bridgewater

Barkhamsted vs Putnam - This matchup feels like a case for consolidating the 169 down to like 145.

North Branford
vs New Fairfield

Did you mean to skip this or did you forget to bold? Which one?

QUOTE=Danny K;63239167]Round 2:

Group A

Ridgefield vs Sharon - gets my pick as a town to visit and enjoy...wouldn't want to live in either. Heavy weekend traffic vs too far from everything else the rest of the state has to offer.

Ellington vs Windsor - more geared toward my profession if working from home becomes a thing of the past, which I hope it doesn't.

Waterford vs Cromwell

Harwinton vs Trumbull - little knowledge of either but slight edge to Trumbull as I've spent a bit of time there & obviously need to go back based on others' comments

Group B

Westport vs Prospect

East Hampton vs Rocky Hill

Darien vs Morris - Bantam Lake! Plus, if I was looking strictly at coastal areas, there are more affordable areas than Darien. I'd probably go with Darien if I was wealthy.

Brooklyn vs Old Lyme

Group C

West Hartford vs North Canaan - I like both. Tough choice.

Watertown vs Hartford

Brookfield vs Seymour - Brookfield is in a very pretty setting. Toss up here.

Haddam vs Canton

Group D

Farmington vs Bethany

Suffield vs Woodstock

Orange vs Bethlehem

Ledyard vs Essex - hands down

Group E

Litchfield vs New Hartford - sentimental reasons

Easton vs Danbury

Southington vs Clinton - my overall pick to live in & commute for work very occasionally

Salisbury vs Southbury - another tough pick.

Group F

Glastonbury vs East Haddam

Colchester vs Cheshire

Bethel vs South Windsor

Bridgeport vs Washington - maybe I need to see more of Bridgeport, but for now, this was an easy choice

Group G

Guilford vs New Britain - hands down

Thomaston vs New Canaan

Middlebury vs East Granby

Deep River vs Avon

Group H

Greenwich vs Cornwall

Chester vs New Milford - equally cool towns in their own way....but Chester takes it easily.

Norwalk vs Salem

Plainville vs Redding

Group I

Stonington vs Wolcott

West Haven vs Newington

Monroe vs Marlborough

Canaan vs Woodbury

Group J

Branford vs Montville

Goshen vs Sherman - didn't Daryl Hall do a house flip here? Goshen is really beautiful in the fall, but I worked briefly in Sherman a very long time ago, so it's sentimental for me.

Woodbridge vs Killingworth

Tolland vs Simsbury

Group K

New Haven vs Norfolk

New London vs Hebron

Shelton vs Ashford

North Stonington vs Kent

Group L

Madison vs Hartland

Wethersfield vs Mansfield

Oxford vs Westbrook

Lyme vs Newtown

Group M

East Lyme vs Durham

Groton vs Roxbury

Weston vs Burlington

Columbia vs Middletown

Group N

Fairfield vs Middlefield

North Haven vs Coventry

Wilton vs Warren

Lisbon vs Stamford

Group O

Old Saybrook vs Killingly

Griswold vs Stratford - no vote here as I know nothing about either

Portland vs Manchester

Granby vs Wallingford

Group P

Milford vs Scotland

Windham vs Bridgewater

Barkhamsted vs Putnam

North Branford vs New Fairfield

I don’t understand all the hate for Danbury. Why? It’s an interesting city, and has a lot going for it. What is it with all the Anti-Danbury votes?

I gotta say that Easton, Weston, and Wilton are nice towns but they are very meh with nothing much there other than just upscale rural towns. Two of these three towns knocked out Danbury over the past tournaments and Easton has an early lead.

And what’s the hate for East Haven and West Haven as well? I feel like these towns aren’t getting enough credit on here. Yes, they’re not too special, but both are nice small cities just outside New Haven and it even feels like one big city. I never expect them to do as well as New Haven, but with all the love that New Haven gets, why are West Haven and East Haven not getting any love? It doesn’t really make much sense to me.

I hope CD makes an update for a more mobile friendly experience. Doing this on a phone is PAINFUL.
