So here are mine. Now the tourney's getting fun.
Group A
Ridgefield vs
Sharon - This is actually really tough. Both are upscale mountain NY border towns. This vote is if you want (much) better mountains or (much) better NYC access.
Ellington vs Windsor - tough, but also relatively apathetic about this one.
Waterford vs Cromwell - Coastal. Harkness is stunning.
Harwinton vs
Trumbull - This one's for you CTArtist
Group B
Westport vs Prospect - Sorry prospect
East Hampton vs Rocky Hill - both are kinda meh inland towns, but at least East Hampton is cute. Rocky Hill is I-91 suburbia.
Darien vs
Morris - Sorry Steve, can't vote for the snobbiest town in the state.
Brooklyn vs
Old Lyme - Coastline always wins
Group C
West Hartford vs North Canaan - probably the best inland town
Watertown vs
Hartford - Watertown is kinda run down itself, so at least Hartford has larger city amenities and the CT Capitol
Brookfield vs Seymour - Lake Candlewood
Haddam vs Canton - Lower CT River is almost coastal
Group D
Farmington vs Bethany - Tough, but Farmington eeks out in my mind
Suffield vs Woodstock - I needed a minute to think about this one. Two absolutely beautiful MA border towns. I'll give the vote to Suffield simply because, while Woodstock's rural beauty is similar to many NW/NE corner towns, Suffield has a very "farm-like" feel that's unique in CT.
Orange vs
Bethlehem - Orange's days of trying to blame the ugliest stretch of Route 1 in the state on Milford are over.
Ledyard vs
Essex - The ultimate inland town, but calling it that feels like cheating
Group E
Litchfield vs
New Hartford - I know this is unpopular, but a lot of towns have cute greens.
Easton vs Danbury - Sorry Hat City. I just don't see the appeal.
Southington vs
Clinton - Coastline. That's it.
Salisbury vs Southbury - reminds me of the Ridgefield vs Sharon fixture above.
Group F
Glastonbury vs East Haddam - Both river towns, better access to other things
Colchester vs
Cheshire - better proximity
Bethel vs South Windsor - pretty apathetic about this one
Bridgeport vs Washington - gotta have some neighborly love.

Guilford vs New Britain - Gee, what a tough one

New Canaan - Normally I wouldn't vote for a town like this, but this time I gotta give it to em.

East Granby - This may be the most apathetic mixture for me this whole tourney.

Chester vs New Milford - This one's tough.

West Haven vs Newington - WH's beaches are actually gorgeous. VERY slept on.

Marlborough - tough, but I'll give it to the underdog

Woodbury - changed my mind on this one
Group J
Branford vs Montville - I know others have said this, but Branford (despite doing well compared to the rest of the state) is one of the most underperforming towns. Its natural beauty is STUNNING. Due to it being so wide (7 miles) it's by far the closest BGM town to New Haven. Really nice balance of urban, suburban, and rural. It's got my vote unless it faces Fairfield or maybe New Haven itself.
Goshen vs
Sherman - Smallest town in FFC deserves a shot
Woodbridge vs
Killingworth - which leafy NH suburb do you like more?
Tolland vs Simsbury - See above, but for Hartford instead
Group K
New Haven vs Norfolk - Best city vs average Litchfield County town.
New London vs Hebron - Coastal, plus it's actually getting much nicer as of recent (primarily because it's coastal).
Shelton vs
Ashford - Quiet corner represent
North Stonington vs
Kent - my love for NS ends here
Group L
Madison vs Hartland - EZ
Wethersfield vs
Mansfield - another candidate for best inland town
Oxford vs
Westbrook - coastal, even though this is probably the most boring coastline in the whole state. If you couldn't tell... I love the beach!
Lyme vs Newtown - I'm not guilty of the name swap... I've actually been to Lyme proper. I like it.
Group M
East Lyme vs Durham - Even better than Lyme. Rocky Neck is STUNNING. Niantic reminds me of Southport/Stonington. What's not to love? Millstone's on the Waterford side, so that can't detract from EL.
Groton vs Roxbury - People sleep on Groton. Go to any one of its 5 coastal points (Avery, Bluff, Groton Long, Noank, and West Mystic) and you'll see what I mean.
Weston vs Burlington - Proximity to Fairfield
Columbia vs
Middletown - A little hesitant for this one, but yea.
Group N
Fairfield vs
Middlefield - HAHAHA. Did I fool you?
My vote's obviously for my hometown. Gotta keep people on their toes though!
North Haven vs
Coventry - Beautiful
Wilton vs Warren - Wilton is surprisingly nice.
Lisbon vs
Stamford - I gotta give it to "The city that works." Because it does. It's an example for the rest of the CT majors to follow.
Group O
Old Saybrook vs Killingly - Killingly is SO PRETTY, and I have beef with OS, but I have to vote for the coastline. It's just too nice.
Griswold vs
Stratford - Short Beach/ Audubon Coastal Center is nice
Portland vs Manchester - Just an overall nicer town
Granby vs Wallingford - Wallingford is practical, which makes me want to vote for it, but it could be prettier.
Group P
Milford vs Scotland - Milford deserved the shutout.
Windham vs Bridgewater - I changed my mind on this one. The green is surprisingly nice.
Barkhamsted vs
Putnam - I've been here. That's about it.
North Branford vs New Fairfield - Might be the runt of BGM, but that's still 99 times better than Litchfield County IMO.
