Art News, a major art industry publication has named Litchfield County the center of contemporary art. I know the county has a large number of artists but did not know it was that prominent. Wonderful news. Another dimension to our already extensive cultural offerings. Jay

I saw this....good for Litchfield County and CT.

All the artists/cartoonists used to live in Fairfield County. They can't afford to do that anymore. Most of the artists I know have moved to New Haven County but it makes sense Litchfield is thriving too.

Hard to believe but at one time Westport and Greenwich were affordable to us commoners. Those days are long gone. Jay

A lot of famous artists settled in Western CT from NYC for the past century. Not surprising!
