Exactly. It's City Data not City Hyperbole. Data is important to home buyers and those who visit boards like this.

But rankings matter to homebuyers, so I’m happy for what it means for our town to be crawling up the rankings over the years.

Ansonia, Bridgeport, New Britain, New London, Waterbury rank bottom 5 in the state while rank slightly better not far behind Hartford, Derby, New Haven, Norwich, Windham

Bridgeport school superintendent says schools may close as part of efforts to better manage the district's overall resources

Levy-David said data shows 30% of Bridgeport students are meeting only minimum standards for reading.

The Bridgeport school superintendent says schools may need to be closed to ensure students get the best possible education.
Dr.Carmela Levy-David says "everything is on the table" when it comes to funding available to provide students with quality education.

During the 2021-22 school year, just 16 percent of students between the second and eighth grades were performing at or above their grade level. Meanwhile, a whopping 84 percent were performing below grade level, according to the data.

As of this spring 2023, the share of students performing at grade level has increased to nearly 20 percent. Likewise, the proportion of students working below grade level has fallen to 80 percent.

Holy cow! Ridgefield public schools have been named the 9th most envied school system in the country. I know they are good but… WOW!

Other envied schools include Greenwich (No. 12), Westport (No. 57), New Canaan (No. 105), and Darien (No. 112). Very good overall.

Could your glasses be any more rose colored? my God.

People are also envious of waterfront homes, Range Rovers and New Haven Pizza, along with schools that have better lacrosse teams and an extra set of petri dishes in the supply closet.

So you don’t think that the fact Ridgefield schools are that well regarded is interesting and noteworthy???

I am so sick of people’s negativity toward our state. People sing the praises of other states all the time. Where is your criticism of them?

Instead of admonishing me, you and others should consider being more balanced and objective in your comments.

And despite your comments I stand by my comment that it is good that Ridgefield is so highly regarded. It’s pretty sad that you don’t agree.

They’re great if you won the lottery at birth, but the article mentioned most envious. Of course people envy things they can’t have. No one here denied rankings.
