Hey all,

Just bought a house with well water. I've never had well water before and would like a recommendation for a water pump/service company for service and maintenance. I live in lower Fairfield more specifically Stamford.

Thank you!

Did you perform a house inspection when you bought the house? If so, I would assume you had the well checked. Why not use the same company? Usually well/septic is checked by a seperate company from the home inspector.

Otherwise I would just ask your new neighbors who they use.

The OP should respond to your question, but many times well and septic are serviced by different companies. For example, in the Stamford area there is Clean-Well Co and as far as I know, they only deal with septic tanks.

In Stamford, homes with well water usually are in the northern half of the municipality. Most homes in the city depend on city water as they are connected to the grid (pipes). Same with human waste disposal.

As should be expected, well water tastes different from city water as the latter is treated with floride and other stuff before it goes into the city's pipes.

Guess what happens when you ask for a home inspection as part of your offer in this market? Ghosted!

As I was typing it I also thought the same thing. Sad that’s the case, but it’s the reality nowadays
