Really????

A few months ago a kid took a bullet in the head in lovely fairfield. A couple guys just got beat down and robbed outside a motel in FFD. Some FFD brats just got busted for causing over $16,000 worth of damage to car windows.

Don't forget all the criminals that live in Fairfield and buy their drugs and happy endings in BPT.

And Stratford????????? They just had 3 shootings in one week. The 'burbs have plenty of dirt.

Generally, it's considered to be from Evers St. northward to the Stratford/Trumbull lines. With the exception of the even side of Evers, the housing stock is single-family within that boundary.

I know some will recommend Beardsley Park, but i personally wouldn't. It seems as if every 5yrs. or so, another block of East Main and Noble degrades(south to north). It's a shame because Noble had some really unique and beautiful homes.

I've always recommended Treeland to those who are interested in Bridgeport. It has been stable for many, many years and the location offers great access to multiple highways.

Well, relatively speaking, it is safe. Safety's definition varies from person-to-person.
I've always pretty much said that Fairfield is a quiet, beautiful little suburban "haven"--but is marred by the fact it borders the crime-ridden and blighted city of Bridgeport. Clearly, this will have an affect on Fairfield every now and then.
I wasn't saying Stratford was super safe. I was just offering it as a better option to the OP than Bridgeport.

Right over the Bpt/Stratford line (in the Treeland area) on the Stratford side of the line is Deerfield woods condos. 1st & 2nd floor all 1 BR units. The 3rd floor is actually 3/4th floor all units on the 3rd floor have lofts that many use as 2nd BR. Complex has a pool.

There are many nice neighborhoods in Norwalk and the homes are pretty reasonably priced. But note that while Norwalk has nice neighborhoods there are a few that have issues. Also note that the schools, particularly the upper grade schools, have some issues.

As for the comments on some of the crime that is happening in Fairfield and Stratford, this stuff happens everywhere and it is certainly less here than most major cities. Jay

Fairfield schools produce kids with a sense of entitlement, zero street smarts, zero diversity, a ton of pressure to have the latest, most expensive material item, and they have plenty of DRUG abuse.

Isn't this a description of most kids today? Actually people were saying the same thing about my generation years ago. Some things never change. Jay

PS - I do not necessarily agree with you on this.

The school system's job is to "produce" students who are prepared for secondary education. Most of the households in fairfield contain 2 parents. The parents should be responsible for guiding their kids with respect to materialism/morality/ethics/etc., not the school system.
