Hi all. I have already moved to East Hampton, CT and I LOVE IT! Anyway, I am dealing with local alarm companies---so fellow citizens of East Hampton, CT what do you think of the crime rate. I have heard everything from the only crime you will hear about is domestic disputes, to there are break ins (into houses) during the daytime. Alarm companies don't offer much help. I will probably go to the PD and ask them but wanted to hear from the residents. Do you know of or have you experienced any property crime, auto, etc.? Thanks and have a good night.

Thanks KH02! I am definitely trying to find a great alarm company but don't want to go over board. I grew up in various parts of NYC, so I guess you can say I am a little PARANOID! Thank you for your honesty and letting me know about your friend's mom's experience.

I think that East Hampton's crime rate is higher than the surrounding towns. For example, nearby Colchester is bigger in population, yet has less reported crime than EH. However, East Hampton is still a beautiful town!

Thanks CTcoldplay11! East Hampton is definitely beautiful! I love this town! I will have to do further research into the crime rate. I don't want to "over do" the alarm thing. it's one thing to alarm doors and windows and another to arm the entire house!
