I agree. The Bridgeport of today is dream compared to what it was like fifteen to twenty years ago. I was born and lived there from the begining of my life and then moved to Easton for many years. When I got married I moved to the North End until I moved out of state. I never once had a problem. I still have family in the area and I'm in Bridgeport every month. There is such a great ethnic diversity in this city. You will never appreciate this until you live in an area that has very little diversity. If you ever had the displeasure of seeing or being in a place like Father Panik Village during the 1980's you would think that the Bridgeport of today is a paradise.

I agree, although the marked improvement that occurred during Ganim's tenure, came to a halt after his exit. I can't lay the blame on Fabrizi or Finch though, because it's quite possible that the "pay to play" perception may be the root cause for investors staying out of the city now. Hopefully, Finch and successors can keep the city from degrading until the graft taint passes.
