I'm new to Connecticut and I'm looking for a dominican hairstylist who can really straighten natural hair. Also one who uses all dominican products. I'm in the Shelton area, but from what I've heard, I may need to go Bridgeport to find one.

You most likely have to go to Bridgeport. I go to one that is very good in the Black Rock section (Fairfield Ave near Brewster). She opens M-S. Her phone is 203.333.6033. She does a very nice blower at a good price.

PS-Welcome to CT!!!

Thank you soo much! Who do I ask for when I call? Does she give good washes? I found before that I would either get a good wash or a good blow dry but not both... I found the perfect stylist right before I moved =(. Also how is she when it comes to just general hair care?

Hi,
This place is very small/simple so you don't need to ask for anyone specifically. It is a team of mother and daughter. Mother does a nice direct blower, daughter (off Mondays) does a very nice wash (strong hands, no long nails). I am happy with them because I don't see the usual gossip that goes on in these type of places. Regarding the products from DR, don't know if she has them but if you request them, I am sure she will get them for you. Not sure what you refer with general care...she does everything pretty well although I prefer to go to NY for haircuts since I like them to be done with a razor and she doesn't use them.

If you have any more specific questions, feel free to post or PM me.
