I'll be visiting CT in November and I am itching to get a real Grinder, something that actually has some meat on it. I am familiar with Franklin Ave. Giant Grinder in the South End of Hartford but it is unlikely that I'll be near that area when visit.

Can anyone tell me if Nardelli's situated along I 84 in Waterbury makes really good Grinders? Their Billboard says they have been named the best Grinder in CT for many years but being from Simsbury, I don't know anyone that has actually eaten at the place.

Default Nardelli's

I really enjoy Nardelli's. I eat there all of the time. The baked ham chicken grinder with the classic mix is one of my favorites. They also make their own soda, and have this fried cheesecake dessert that is really good. I think I'll visit them today, lol. Happy grinder hunting.

Thanks for the responses. They make their own soda? I'll have to try it. Probably better than my own homebrew. There's a place near Middlebury that used to make some excellent Birch Beer though I don't know if they still make it today or whether or not the place still exists.

Nardelli's is EXCELLENT. I wasn't aware that there was one in Waterbury, as I have always been to the one in Naugatuck...
