I recently found a post, stating that the gym in the Tully Health Center is free of charge with a doctor's note. Stamford Talk: Eat, Think, Drive, Blog!: Tully Health Center: FIXING YOU UP!

I called the gym, but the membership lady said there is no such thing.

Does anyone here used the gym for free with a doctor's note? What is the procedure? I have pretty severe joint problems, and need a swimming pool to reduce my pain.

Thanks!

Also, can anyone rate the experience in the Tully Health Center gym, and compared it to Stamford Athletic Club a block away? Thanks!

I've never heard of such a thing, except when the health center doubles as a physical therapy practice, then maybe you can get a orthopedic doctor to prescribe a set number of water therapy sessions with a trained physical therapist. That might then be covered by insurance, but would not be truly free.
