Open to living in CT or wherever. Thanks again for your input.

I am making the same move myself (later this year) and have been told by a few people that Danbury would be the best choice. As far as the ghetto comments, I figure coming from SoCal it shouldn't be too much of an issue. I'm with you on the Starbucks etc.....I'm already anxious about not having store every other block!!

Danbury is not a bad place to live, there are alot of beautiful areas and not everyone is illegal. It is a bigger city yes, and it has more of what the poster is looking for. How can you say that it is ghetto?? I moved here from Westchester 4 years ago and have never had any problems. And its alot nicer than other areas in Westchester and yes, you get more for your money here.

Danbury's taxes are super-reasonable compared to some other towns and cities in CT that have reasonable housing costs, and it should be an easy commute to Somers. Check out the west side, Mill Plain road area near Exit 2.

Also a pp mentioned the taxes in CT at bad but if he is talking about property taxes he is wrong! CT has lower property taxes. Westchester taxes keep going up and up-they are very high.....
