Can anyone recommend a good restaurant for a party? it would be a surprise 60th bday, about 40 people. It doesn't have to necesarily be in Cheshire, but somewhere close and easily accessible from 84.
I already looked into Brix, Vic House and Westbrook Lobster.
Any other ideas?

How about looking into a resturaunt on Queen St in Southington...their are TONS of them.

Their is a new italian place in Bristol on Middle street right before ESPN that looks great! Maybe check them out...i think its called CAVA's.

Cava's is actually in Southington on West Street (rt.229) on the way to ESPN but I heard it is expensive. You can try Agave Grill (original in Hartford) on Queen street in Southington which does good Mexican food. Also, there is Bonterra Italian Bistro in downtown Southington which has good food. You will have to call them to find out if they do large parties.

Have you tried San Marino's or Nino's Trattoria in Waterbury? There's also La Tavola Ristorante on Highland Ave. They're either new or newly renovated, I haven't eaten there. But I've heard alot about it and it suppose to be good.

Not sure if it can accommodate capacity-wise but Aunt Chilada's in Hamden is a great place to have a party. Very casual, fun atmosphere and good food (although you need to like Tex-Mex.)
It's about 20 minutes from Cheshire (depending on where you are in Cheshire) on Whitney Ave/Route 10 in the Mt. Carmel area of Hamden.

Agave closed, it's some sports themed restaurant now. I don't know if relocated but they are no longer on queen st.
