Does anyone know of any Italian specialty market in and around Stamford, CT.

I am looking to purchase some cardone for the holiday. Cardone is a vegetable that many Italians cook at the holidays, very hard to find it though.

Try Bongiorno's Supermarket at 288 West Avenue in Stamford.

Buon Natale!

Bongiorno's hasn't been around for years, but I'm sure there is something on the West Side.

If not, the Bronx isn't too far away.

You might want to try an Italian grocer on High Ridge Road. I can't remember the name (sorry), but it is a stand-alone, old school grocer, straight out of the '50s/'60s. It's a classic place, and makes delicious sandwiches. They may have what you are looking for. It might just be called High Ridge Deli, or something like that.
