I have read some of the post about parking in Stratford and I realize that there is a problem with parking at the station. I'm moving to Shelton in January and I need to find a parking spot since I will be comunting to NYC. I have been doing research on the internet and I see there is a number of public parking lots in Bridgeport that offer discounts to MNRR commuters, but I can't find any in Stratford. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to where to park my car during the week that is reasonable? It's bad enough that I have to pay $700.00 in train fare plus whatever the parking is going to cost. Thank you for your suggestions.

There aren't any public lots in Stratford. The only other option is to snag an on-street spot on Linden Avenue, and your odds of doing that are really slim. Sorry.

I don't know the cost but there is more parking available in Bridgeport. It's a quicker train ride (by only about 5 minutes) and the lot is pretty well lit from what I understand.

Ok.. so Bridgport is the way to go. Do you know if we will be able to get seats on the train or will the train be full in the morning at 6am?
