This cold air should last through January. Just amazed how long it's lasting. I personally think we won't see another big snow event until mid January but of course weather is unpredictable.

I also don't see how it will rain tomorrow night.. I T S F R E E Z I N G !!

On Christmas Day 2002 it started out in the 50s and raining and several hours later near dark it was in the 20s and most places in the coastal Northeast got 5+" of snow. To top it off, during the change was of course a lot of ice.

We are "in between" the North Pole and the Equator so a lot can happen and warm and cold air can take over fairly rapidly.

I'll never forget the Christmas day Snowstorm(maybe Blizzard) in 2003(?) I think. It started in the afternoon and got heavier until early morning hours.

Everyone had to sleep over because we all got stuck at families house. But I decided to leave at 1am. I was living in Rye Brook at the time. ..... wait a second...it was 2002 cause in 2003 I was living in Stamford. ... There was about a foot of snow on ground.

It took me 90 minutes to get from Norwalk to Rye Brook WITH NO ONE ON ROAD. LOL. I was in a little Toyota Tercel. LOL! Pulled in "unplowed" driveway at 2:40am and got stuck. Left it there till next day. LOL
