I was looking for updates on Stamford's downtown developments, and came across the Stamford Downtown Developments updates page. I thought I'd pass along some interesting latest updates for these projects. This does not include anything under development on the south end, or south of I-95. There are significant projects under construction in reference to Harbor Point on the south end.

Here's the list for the immediate downtown area:

A $500 million, 400,000+ square foot, 12-story North American Corporate Banking Center on 3 acres, just north of I-95. Projected to bring 1,150 new jobs to the city initially with growth to 3,000 jobs expected.

Trump Parc - Washington Boulevard & Broad Street.
A 37-story, 177 luxury condominium tower to be built on a .5 acre site with a 3,500 square foot retail component.

Highgrove – Corner of Forest & Grove Streets.
A total of 91 luxury condominium units ranging in price from $1.1M to $3M, designed by renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern.

Status: Estimated delivery Fall 2009
Developer: Ceebraid-Signal

Park Square West – Park Place, between Washington Boulevard & Summer Street.
A 2.8+ acre site with a total of 567 residential apartments in four residential towers. The first residential tower with 143 apartments was completed in 2001. Phase II will consist of 189 apartments and 10,500 square feet of retail space. Phases III & IV will have a total of 235 apartments and 20,000 square feet of retail space.

Status: Phase II –Pending financing
Developer: Corcoran Jennison Associates, LLC

Atlantic Centre- Ritz-Carlton Hotel & Condominiums Tower on Tresser Blvd. & Atlantic Street.
A 39-story, twin tower high rise development on 3 acres, which will include 198 hotel rooms and 289 condominium units plus 56,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.

Status: Estimated ground breaking 2012
Developer: Rich Cappelli Associates, LLC

11 Forest Street
A mixed use project with 9,000+ square feet of retail space with 12 foot windows fronting on Forest Street. A total of 18 loft style residential apartments centrally located on Forest Street a half block from Bedford Street.

Status: Spring 2009
Developer: TAG Forest, LLC (div. of Seaboard Properties)

Tresser Square – Tresser & Washington Boulevards.
A 1.2 million square foot residential & retail mixed-use development on a 4.5 acre site. The project will have 832 condominiums and apartments and 130,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space.
Status: Pending approvals
Developer: Lowe Enterprises

Default Stamford Development/Construction Thread

Like New Haven's Development Thread, I've been wanting to make one for Stamford as this city has been seeing a lot of activity lately. Over the past few years, Stamford has see big developments, most famously, the Harbor Point master plan. This momentum is expected to continue. Also, instead of creating multiple, low traffic threads for a few of the projects being talked about right now, we can use this main thread, like New Haven's development thread as I've said, to talk about the projects.

That one is an end around. They're blowing smoke on that one to try to convince Brewer's to take the property while they can.

Harbor Square Hotel is no longer destined to be a Hotel or Condo. Rental apts. only. that's where the money is in Stamford. Stam is not a condo town. After the housing bubble burst, young affluents just want to rent. Trump Park is still not full and High Grove, originally a luxury 15 story condo, became a high end rental unit (4-6000 a month) and rented out.
