hi and welcome to the area. i'm also a brit (from bristol) and have lived in bpt for 18 years. i actually not too far away from you in brooklawn.

i agree the local a&p superfood mart is a complete tip but they do have some wonderful sales that keep me going back. was just having a convo with my sister yesterday and talked about contacting the district manager regarding the conditions of that store. i also agree that the newer stop and shop on fairfield ave has better prices than the others in the area. i only go to the one closest to my house (villa ave) when i have too.

we also go to the farmers market on main st to pick up our jamaican stuff. the prices are good and the fish fresh.

check out 'two boots' downtown. it's a bar/resturant with live music. they have a pretty nice website.

i love hanging out at captains cove in the summer. actually had a little shop there 2 years ago.

our trash pickup is thursday morn. i'm sure you probally know that by now though.

feel free to contact me if you need help with anything else

Oh, another Brit. I luv Brits...some of my fav people in the world because... (long story).

I see you like to go to Captain's Cove. There is a certificate for that place here: The Restaurant at Captain's Cove - Eat. Drink. Save Money.. It may be useful because the place is not too cheap. If you sign up for updates you can get a huge % off the certificate too.

Also, I went to a restaurant called "The Field" on BlackRock that had a very nice European vibe. I loved it there.
