hey has anyone seen my pet tiger? it went missing a few hours ago. its orange with black and white. 400 pounds. its a wild animal, but they said that i could keep it because I got it before the law was passed.

If u see it, give me a call so I can call my friend so she can give it xanax to calm it down. if that doesnt work, i'll just dial the cops to have them shoot it. jus endanger their lives right? I mean, its what they get paid to do-chasing around wild animals all day.

by the way, the tiger's name is lulu. she's a sweet thing when she aint mad. be careful; its been a while now so she might be hungry.

thanks alot

First and foremost, what happened to that woman it is absoluetly horrible ! My thoughts and prayers go out to her.

Now, with that said. I can not blame the chimp. I blame the person who took this animal (or it's parents) out of the wild. When will people learn that not all animals can be (or should be) domesticated? If this animal was living in the wild, where it belongs, this terrible tragedy would never have happened.

I was listening to this tape yesterday. Horrible, horrible tape. It seemed to be forever before the cops arrived. The tape goes to 9min30 before they are on the scene. For that entire time the owner of the pet was just begging and begging for them to get there. I am sure that the attack started before the call........so it is plain to see that the woman was attacked for 10 to 15 min. before someone came. ( too long, and too sad)
From what I gathered yesterday she asked her friend to come and help her get the animal back into the house. The friend came with an Elmo that she held in front of her face. I can only think that she thought the toy would do the trick of moving him back into the home.

What came to mind with me, here in Myrtle beach, is that down at Barefoot Landing they do a tiger show. Families sit and have their picture taken with huge tigers.......I never ever thought that was a good idea. I hope it is closed up. Just not common sense to me to sit with these wild animals and your precious family. Just one quick turn of events...........and catastrophe

Yes I agree it was a long time. But u have to admit that this is a rare call, and the first responders were probably baffled when they recieved it. You cant expect them to run into EVERY call without a plan. 5 minutes seems reasonable in this case.

Mostly for the woman who was mauled.

I don't find this comical at all given what happened. Stop insulting people from Stamford and have a little compassion for people who don't live in ''da hud.''

This has nothing to do with "da hud". And whether u were implying that I am ignorant or whether ppl should have special sympathy for those who are irresponsible, this was clearly an accident waiting to happen.

You know whats really funny? the first time the animal escaped, there was a law passed banning ownership of primates over 50lbs. Now, look what happens when laws arent followed. I guess they forgot that primates grow. C'mon, it was mad because it wanted to go in a car ride. I don't even take dear lulu out of her cage nevermind a "car ride". Now, I cant wait til alllll the finger pointing when the medical bill comes in.

looks like even the safest places are immune to tragedy when laws are not followed. Or when some ppl are made to follow laws that others arent.

First of all, the owner did not break any laws. As I understand it, even though this monkey was grandfathered in, she took all the necessary steps to be certified for having this animal. Also, I can understand her love and pain having raised this animal for 15 years. I would not want someone telling me that I have to get rid of my dog because "all dogs are dangerous because they bite". While I do agree this is a terrible thing that happened, I do see both sides of the issue. Jay

I agree. I did see on the news last night that the "laws" pertaining to what is/isn't permissible to keep can be vague. The DPS reviews requests to keep exotic animals on a case by case basis, per our illustrious AG, Richard Blumenthal(has this guy ever turned away from a camera in his life, lol.).
