Snowing in Meriden??? Wow, that is interesting. I did not think it was cold enough to snow today. I did not get a chance to watch the weather forecast this morning. I wonder if Scot Haney forecast that. Jay

We had a few brief flakes of wet snow in New Haven around 12:30, but the sun came out about 20 minutes later.

Anomalously cold air aloft supported flurries and snow showers across the state today even though temperatures were in the 40's at the surface. Upper level low and trough hanging around the Northeast will finally break down tonight, allowing for a warming/drying southwest flow. Conditions will dry out overnight setting the stage for a beautiful spring day tomorrow with temps in the upper 50's under abundant sunshine...

The darkness was eerily appropriate for this day (depending on your beliefs, of course), especially the time at which it occurred.
