Fairfield and New Haven counties follow New York teams because they are Metro NY.

The rest follow the scum because they are New England.

We are in a real quandry in our house. I am (was) a staunch Boston fan having been born in Massachusetts and lived there until I was 7 years old...my parents were both Boston fans to the bitter end. My husband...born and raised in the Fairfield CT area...BIG, BIG, BIG NY fan. To keep peace in our house, I have at times relented to watching the Yankees play and have developed a fondness for Hideki Matsui...my favorite. Still can't seem to lose that Boston Flavor...my son is a Boston Fan.....big quantry..LOL

Cool!

I just know that Fairfield County is definetely NY territory because its part of the NY Metro area/Tri State area. We dont get the Boston teams on TV (Thank GOD) and since the NY teams are so close (less than an hour away) and Boston is 3 1/2 hours away, why root for teams we dont have any ties to? Boston isnt local. New York is.

Agreed. But just know that from Norwalk, Boston is less than 3 hours if you drive the speed limit.

Sigh. If only the Hartford Whalers were around. I know that sounds weird to come from someone from Boston and honestly I'm not really a big hockey fan at all but before 1997, at least there was a home team that was neither Boston's or NY's for Connecticut to cheer for. Now it seems to be split 50 Boston and 50 NY.

I probably still would have been a Rangers fan...not sure...I'm not a Uconn fan either. I'm a Tar Heels fan (NOT bandwagon)
