I have to say, I was at the DMV this morning in Danbury... it was busy, but things went smooth. I had to transfer my license and register a car. The whole thing took less than an hour. Compliments to the employees who were much more helpful then the employees in NJ's DMV!

It really depends on where you go. Some of the newer stations do routine things like license renewal and registration etc pretty efficient. If you have to go to Wethersfield (Headquarters)...for-get-it. Every person from a third world country and/or crack house in CT standing at the attendant arguing the same points over and over for 45 minutes and not understanding certain paperwork has to be submitted.

I had to go to Wethersfield to register a new work truck. I thought my head was going to explode and it took me about 3 hours. I wanted to walk up to the station and yell at the person "you need the paper signed...period. Go get it signed and come back so the rest of us don't have to sit here for 4 hours listening to you argue with the lady just trying to do her job."

You should have done it, lol. I did it a few years back at Bpt. DMV, and the clerk was so grateful that she let me take the place of the idiot that i shooed away from her window. I'm so glad that they give out numbers instead of making you queue up in a line like they used to. I "jumped" ahead of about 6 people.
