I have a 1 br apt and spend $45/mo on electric (100% renewable sourced), $40 for internet, and about $30/month for my prepaid cell phone. No cable, no land line saves lots of $. I wish I could find a cheaper internet service.

If you really think you need everything, the Comcast triple play seemed like a pretty good deal.

You don't necessarily have to cut out a cell phone altogether, though I agree that most plans are overly pricey. That's why I ditched the contract and went with Net10. Now I prepay as I go, I only pay for the minutes I actually need and use! I'd recommend it to anyone else looking to save but not give up a cell phone
