Hello,
I am new to the area of CT and my family lives here while I live in NYC.
I have no clue how to get back and forth and the sites are so confusing!
I would prob. have to commute from Hartford to NYC right? Bus? Train? Whats most economical? Also, this is on the back burner for now but i do have a large dog...do they have any transportation ways for that? I do not have a car in the city.
If you mean commuting daily, you will be spending most of your waking life on the road! I hope you plan to spend your weeknights in the city, and commute out on weekends.
Here's a site I found that might help you: Connecticut Transportation
Thankyou. But yes i will only be commuting once in a while, just to see family. Do you know a way to get from hartford to ny? or if there are any bus service close to coventry?
You could take Amtrak to Hartford from New York. Only certain trains go directly so you need to be sure you catch the correct train. I am not sure how to get from Hartford to Coventry. Jay
I find that from Hartford to NYC, the Peter Pan Buses (owned now by Greyhound) are the best way to go. The bus is cheaper than the train and runs more frequently and doesn't take much more time than the train. See Peter Pan Bus :: Tickets :: Schedules & Fares (http://www.peterpanbus.com/tickets/schedules-and-fares.php - broken link)
