Sorry it is so late, but there really aren't too many coastal towns in the area, and you have hit just about all of them. I know a lot of people end up missing the Eastern Point section of Groton, and end up feeling like most of the town is pretty much a gamble as to whether it is worth it or not, but if you have a chance tomorrow to check out the southern section of Groton's west side, near the UCONN-Avery Point Campus, south of Pfizer, I think you might be surprised at how nice the entire area is. And it is also only a short jump to New-London or Mystic, as well as the area of Groton that the City Council has targeted for more dense downtown development.

Just a thought. Hope you find someplace that you absolutely love!

We ended up taking rt 1 from New London over to Milford, checking out all the towns a little bit on the way. It was all pretty nice until we got to New Haven, then it started looking like New Jersey! Way too crowded and too much traffic. After that we headed up to 84 through Bethel, which had a really nice downtown area, although I think Branford and Clinton were the best looking downtown areas we saw.

We ended up seeing a nice house in NL County, so we will see how that works out. It wasn't near the beach really (about 20 minutes to Niantic/New London/Groton/Old Lyme), but it was in a really nice neighbourhood and had plenty of space for us and our dog.
