MSN Real estate just listed the Norwich-New London metro on their list of cities with starter homes under $150,000. I've thought that the region was probably the most starter friendly region of the state, as it is less expensive than most of the state, but has more amenities than the even less expensive regions. The state has a long way to go in terms of being considered affordable, especially for young people. I know, I know lists never account for this and that, and somebody probably thinks that the writer had no clue what they were talking about, but I think it is pretty encouraging to see this.
