Just called CT when I saw this thread - in laws in Simsbury and parents in Oxford both said snow is coming down at a good clip, but roads aren't covered.

Wish I was there to see it.

Snowing pretty good here in Manchester - granted I'm at > 1000 feet elevation.

Last time I remember this was Oct 1980. I was in 5th grade waiting for the bus thinking "cool".

Chalk it up to global warming.

Believe it or not I saw flakes about 7:00 PM in Black Rock. Less than 1/2 mile from the coast.

…even more amazing when you consider Long Island Sound and the Atlantic off Long Island is still near 60 F. That’s pretty weird.

It's not doing a thing here in North Carolina, my very temporary residence! I wish I were there in CT to see it! I hope that it's a good thing for you... I miss the honest-to-goodness four seasons and cannot wait to get back up there!

Cheers

The rain changed over to sleet then some snowflakes in Norwalk from 6pm - 8pm but didn't last long after that. It's rare to see that in mid October at these elevations AND ESPECIALLY rare to see the anadien Cold High Pressure filter down this far while a low from the south is bringing up moisture. hats something you see in December.

The poles are shifting my friends.
