I'm also going to test out my new truck when the first flakes fall.

I think it will be a while. It's hardly doing anything here. I'm going to step outside and then edit this post with an update.

EDIT: 3:15 PM What little precipitation we had has stopped.

Air is moisting up to prepare to dump snow on top of us. I never seen the atmosphere need this much time to moisten up! WOW!

But dont expect over 10 inches now. We lost 3 hours worth of accumulation.

I put this in the Houston thread by mistake.

We've got snow (or sleet). Not heavy, but not near as light as earlier today. I would go outside but I don't feel like climbing all the stairs again.

Since that post it's now begun to cover the ground.

Took a while up here. Didn't start until about 10:30 way up here in the corner, after originally being forecasted to start around 7 as early as this morning.

Then again, the dewpoint was 0 at Worcester as late as Midnight and in the single digits in Willimantic as late as 9:30-ish. I doubt we're getting a foot up here considering that, unless it gets heavy out there in the next few hours.

Dissapointing but like I said in my last post "dont expect over 10 inches" We lost those 3 hours worth because the air was so dry!

Looks like 7 inches in Norwalk. Can't wait to see the official totals later on.

Enjoy...Another storm on the 25th But that should be rain.

Looks like the New London/Norwich area got some of the big totals predicted though.....

As for the Christmas Day storm, will probably be rain along the coast, though they're saying even there mix with ice and snow for part of the storm......

Willimantic area received around 14''-16''. Considering it didn't start until late, there was about 8-9 hours of very heavy snow in the 2-3'' per hour range.
