We are in the process of moving to central Connecticut from Atlanta, and we're in the midst of a house search in the Simsbury area. We're looking for a short-term housing option for less than $2000 per month. I anticipate that we'd need it from about mid-March to the end of April. I'd prefer not to haul furniture until we're ready to move it all. And no pets, but we have a 16 month old...

Any ideas?

You don't have the greatest chance of finding a short term house rental; however, I highly recommend the new Hyatt Somerfield Suites in Windsor (15-20 minutes away from Simsbury) because they specialize in short term rentals. The hotel is new, and each room has a kitchen. I've referred clients there who have enjoyed their stay. They will even grocery shop for you before you get there so you have a fully stocked kitchen. You can also try the Homewood Suites in Farmington because they, too, specialize in short term rentals. I've had clients enjoy it there as well. Good luck & Welcome to CT!

I agree. You will have an almost impossible time finding a house for rent THAT short term...most houses require at least a year lease...some even want 2 years.
