Maybe Bolton. Good schools. Good access. A nice state park, Gay City.

*near* Manchester with no consideration to budget?

Glastonbury.

Give us an idea of what "near" means, and what your budget is and we can steer you better.

Good luck!

Glastonbury has excellent schools and is considered to be one of the most desirable towns in the area. It has a nice downtown area with most of the shopping needs and is not far from major shopping in the Buckland Hills section of Manchester. It is however a bit more expensive than other communities.

I also agree that Bolton is very nice but it is rural in character. Same for Hebron. Another town to consider is South Windsor. Good luck, Jay
