I don't know if NWS has updated that map, but they are saying in their discussions that the amounts of rain will vary in an east to west swing with EASTERNMOST portions of the area (i.e. southeast CT, eastern LI) getting "only" an inch of rain, and WESTERNMOST portions (i.e. New Jersey, Rockland and Orange Counties in NY) getting up to 4". Given the massive flooding in many parts of CT from the last storm, I imagine even 1-2" could be bad, but thought I would note this nonetheless. They're even saying that rain may hold off in the easternmost areas until tomorrow night.

March 19th still too far out but its going to be a Full SuperMoon.

March 15th all ingrediants coming together for a snowstorm.

Stay tuned - after this Rainstorm I'll have more.

Stay safe...and dry!

Too late. My office and rec room flooded Monday.

I'll remember your glee over all the snowstorms as I try to recover from the most expensive winter I've endured in my life.

For now, what would be nice is if you'd just stop with the exclamation marks. We know you love bad weather. You don't need to rub it in.

Thats what I tell everyone... warm rains are so much worse then snowstorms. Sorry to hear what happened. Hope your insurance company covers everything and everyone stays healthy.

It's the snow pack that caused the flood.

Top 10 Historical Crests/Major Flooding: 6 of them I can assure you was not from snowpack. So whether its the rain that does it or the snow(mountain snows too), we both agree to hate the heavy rains... All we can do is try to prepare and save lives.

This one is. And we're going to get flooded again tomorrow because there is still lots of snow uphill from us to combine with the rain.

I believe the thinking process of living or doing business near water is going to change. Weather Extremes are more common now around the world with flooding everywhere. Im, sure you heard of Brazil, Australia this year alone.. and just 2 days ago down south from the rains. Dont laugh but I sold 2 of my properties for this specific fear. I was tired of seeing close calls and flooding nearby in low lying areas. I dred and fear the overdue Hurricane hitting us.
